Yesterday (19th Sept), 4 members of the Parish Council attended a very convivial and interesting visit to Dumpton School (http://www.dumpton.com/) in the village.
On the guided tour we visited the controversial astroturf pitch and the newly “levelled” field, as well as the pupils kitchens, dining rooms, art and music rooms.
The school is a registered charity, employs over 100 local people, sources most of its food and other requirements locally and teaches up to 350 pupils from ages 2-13. Their pupils come from across the region, the most remote coming from Long Bredy nr. Dorchester.
