Residents will be pleased to know that today (July 22nd) the Dorset Council lining team are marking the “Bus Cage” on Wimborne Road near Beaucroft School.
The bus cage, which define the area around the bus-stop, was originally proposed two years ago in a joint agency meeting with the former County Council and MoreBus, but was put on-hold to first gauge the effectiveness of the yellow zig-zag lining outside the school. The Parish Council’s Highway Improvement Schemes Working Party resurrected the request at the meeting we had with two Dorset Highways officers on the 15th July.
It is an offence to park within a bus cage, so this should create more gaps between the parking on Wimborne Road to improve safety and traffic-flows.
