Cllr Carol Butter

Cllr Carol Butter

Carol has lived in the Wimborne Minster and Colehill area for the past 30+ years and just loves the mix of countryside, parish, and town that the area offers.

Her main working life was in Banking and Finance where she had a varied career including Finance, Audit and latterly was responsible for the implementation of a number of Financial Projects. She left Banking for a better work life balance in 2000 and set up her own Accounting Business locally.

Carol was elected onto Wimborne Minster Town Council in 2015, where she gained significant experience in local government. She became Chairman and Town Mayor for the 2022/23 Civic Year and was elected onto Colehill Parish Council in May 2024

In her spare time, she loves walking and generally enjoying the countryside.  A keen volunteer with British Eventing, Carol was privileged to be an official at the Equestrian event at the London 2012 Olympics. She is on the Committee of the Wimborne and District Riding Club and can often be seen helping at events and showing her rescue pony Sprout in hand.

Carol is passionate about protecting the greenbelt and wildlife for the benefit of current and future generations. She represents residents in the Colehill Parish Ward and is keen to hear from residents in any part of Colehill.
