Cllr Ken Murgatroyd

Cllr Ken Murgatroyd

Ken joined the Council in January 2023.

He is currently a Colehill & Wimborne Youth & Community Centre Trustee/Director (aka The Reef) – this term runs until 2028.

Ken has lived in the local area for some 50 years, having served in the Royal Marines for 22 years ending his time as WO2 Landing Craft at RM Poole.

Since retiring from the service Ken has travelled extensively working in Maritime Security roles from northern Norway to the Middle East and China.

Since moving to Colehill 2 years ago he has become interested in the locality and wishes to support the Parish to enhance and keep the facilities for the benefit of the residents specially the environment and bio-diversity found here.

His other interests are gardening, golf and marine leisure.

Ken lives and represents residents in the Colehill Parish Ward although is of course keen to hear from all and any residents in any part of Colehill.
