Cllr Leslie Gibson

Cllr Leslie Gibson

Leslie joined the Council in June 2019.  He is currently Chair the Finance and General Purposes Committee and has previously served as Vice-Chair of the Council.  He is also an active member of  many of our Working Groups. He is currently a Colehill & Wimborne Youth & Community Centre Trustee/Director (aka The Reef) – this term runs until 2028.

He and his wife moved to Colehill in 2016, after he took early retirement from his role as the Head of Project Management for a major UK Bank.

He graduated in Mathematics and Statistics and initially trained as an IT Analyst and a Business Analyst in the electricity industry, before moving into banking where he obtained professional accreditations in Project Management & Programme Management.

Leslie is interested in local history, and a keen member of the National Trust and English Heritage.  He enjoys leisure cycling, gardening and walking with Bob, his Labradoodle, through the Cannon Hill Plantation most days. Having worked in the City of London for 35 years, he is very happy to have escaped to the country and is keen to contribute to making Colehill a great place to live.

Leslie lives and represents residents in the Colehill Parish Ward although is of course keen to hear from all and any residents in any part of Colehill.
