Museum Memories
The Priest’s House Museum and Garden in Wimborne runs a reminiscence session called Museum Memories each month. On Saturday 29 June 2019 from 2.00pm to 4.00pm, the museum will be running taster activities in the museum garden, entrance by Wimborne Library.
Anyone who is interested in sharing their memories is welcome to come along and find out more. You could be new to the area or your connection to East Dorset might go back many years. Our sessions are Dementia Friendly.
Taster activities will include crafts, a film stars quiz, traditional games, kitchen bygones and old photographs. Tea and cake will be available for £2.
This welcoming and friendly group shares stories and memories about a different theme each month. The fun and relaxed activities draw on the museum’s object and photographic collections, giving participants the opportunity to recall and share their memories of the past.
The group was first set up several years ago with support from the Dorset Partnership for Older People Programme and the Alzheimer’s Society.
