Fitness Equipment

July 2026

We’re about to start work installing adult fitness equipment in Oliver’s Park.

Adult Fitness Equipment

Since purchasing Oliver’s Park from Dorset Council in 2020 we’ve made lots of improvements including expanding the playground and installing new playground equipment, three wheelchair friendly picnic benches, new pathways and replacement football goals.

When we asked residents for ideas on what additional improvements we could make, one of the most popular suggestions was to install fitness equipment suitable for adults and older teenagers.

We will start work on 27th July installing a multi-user fitness unit suitable for use by up to 8 people at a time and incorporating the following exercise equipment, designed to increase tone, strength and flexibility in all muscle groups / parts of the body:

  • Pull Up Rack
  • Parallel Bars
  • Chin Up Bar
  • Tricep Dip
  • Push Up Bar
  • Leg Raise
  • Stepper
  • Jump Step
  • Sit Up Bench

The equipment is suitable for use by anyone over 1.4m in height.

You’ll see an area of the playing field fenced off for your safety until the works complete in about two weeks time, depending on the weather.
