Dorset’s councils are considering reducing the number of councils in the county from nine to two from 2019 in order to protect services and reduce costs as their funding continues to decline.
We’re working together to listen to what residents, businesses and others think about the proposals – we want to hear your views before any decisions are made.
The public consultation on the proposals for change runs until 25 October 2016 – you can fill out the consultation questionnaire online now.
Alternatively, before having your say, you can find out about the options, the background, read FAQs, or visit a roadshow we’re holding across Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole to talk to local people about the consultation.

(Note: this applies to District & County Councils; Parish and Town Councils will continue and may have enhanced roles.)
