Land North of Leigh Road

July 2026

We’ve been notified by Bellway Homes that they are seeking to build c.124 homes on land north of Leigh Road next to Bytheway Field.

Land North of Leigh Road

They will be delivering the attached leaflet to 916 homes in the area shortly and inviting residents to attend a public exhibition to be held on Tuesday 21st July, 3pm to 7pm, at St Michael’s Church Centre in Colehill Lane.

A PDF version of the leaflet can be downloaded here – Bellway Homes Leaflet

We encourage all Colehill residents to attend the event, whether or not you receive the leaflet, and to provide your views on the proposals.

In addition, after you’ve seen the exhibition, we will be asking you to let us know what you think about the proposals so that we can reflect your views in our own feedback on the exhibition, and if/when a formal planning application is submitted.

This is one of the thirteen potential sites identified by Dorset Council for major housing development in Colehill, in the Draft Local Plan published in 2025.  See details of the Local Plan Consultation we conducted last year.
