Dorset Council announced on 1st August the launch of a new Beryl bike hire scheme for Southeast Dorset, see their press release here. The scheme will provide 122 bikes at sites across Colehill, Wimborne, Ferndown, West Parley and West Moors. Five bays have been marked-up initially within Colehill and the first bikes will appear in those bays within the next few days.
The scheme launches just ahead of national ‘cycle to work day’ on Thursday 4th August, and it is hoped it will enable residents to reduce their car usage, helping to improve the environment and reduce road congestion.
