NALC LCAS Silver Award

September 2025

Summary

Colehill Town Council has achieved the LCAS Silver Award

We are thrilled to announce that the Council has now been granted the Silver Award in the National Association of Local Councils Award Scheme.

The Councillors and staff have been working on the application since the beginning of the year.  This has involved reviewing and making amendments to various policies and procedures as well as gathering evidence to ensure that the Council met the required standards to achieve the Silver Award.

The assessment was completed by the national Local Councils Awards Scheme Panel and the award shows that the Council has gone above and beyond the legal obligations to establish good practices in governance, community engagement and council improvement.

This is a huge achievement, building on the previous Foundation Award obtained in January 2022. Colehill is the first Parish Council in Dorset to achieve a Silver level so we are incredibly proud to see the hard work pay off as well as ensuring the Council is working as hard as possible for it’s residents.

Details about the scheme are all on the National Associations of Local Council’s (NALC) website here Local Council Award Scheme
