Today we have some recycled plastic bollards being installed on the edge of Kyrchil Corner Common alongside the top end of Wimborne Road between the bus-stop and where the kerb ends by the ‘phone box.
There have been some complaints made to our contractors that the road is being made narrower, but this is not the case. The posts are being installed beyond the edge of the road into the woodland in order to protect the woodland from vehicle parking which has been encroaching further and further onto the common – dragging mud onto the road and eroding the amenity land which Colehill Parish Council owns and maintains for the benefit of our residents.
These bollards are of a very naturalistic appearance (they look like wood), but they won’t decay and should last for many years.
