We’ve erected a plaque on a boulder near the car park to mark that Oliver’s Park has been awarded Queen Elizabeth II Field in Trust status. This initiative to mark the late Queen’s Diamond Jubilee protected 1,392 parks and green spaces throughout the UK. As a result the park is now protected in perpetuity for future generations to use for recreational purposes, and legally safeguarded against any future development.
