Further to the ceremonies held in both #Colehill and #Wimborne this morning, at sunset this evening the Chairman of Colehill Council, Cllr Emma Urquhart, and the Mayor of Wimborne Minster, Cllr Shane Bartlett, held a further ceremony alongside several of the 44 Commonwealth War Graves in Wimborne Cemetery, which is jointly owned and managed by Colehill, Pamphill and Wimborne.
Once again Chris Brown, who serves as Crier to both Colehill and Wimborne, cried a poem celebrating the Victory over Japan and former military bandsman Andy Urquhart played the Last Post and Reveille. Josiah Joseph (a.k.a. Antigua Joe), representing the RAF, read the Exhortation and the Kohima Epitaph.
