‘The Barbara Gooch Memorial Garden’ Appeal

We are delighted to report that the Appeal raised over £1,200. Thank you to everyone who contributed. ‘The Barbara Gooch Memorial Garden’ is located at the side of the library. Barbara was in charge of gardening volunteers and it was her dream to install a garden in this location, with plants and shrubs appropriate to the location. She and a plant expert planned the garden, but sadly, Barbara passed away before her dream could be realised.

Support Us

Our Community Library is reliant on support from the community.  Here are a few ways you can help:

  • Make a one-off or regular donation via the CCL Donation Form (pdf).
  • Come along to a fundraising event – see our Activities & Events page
  • Make a Supporter’s Subscription, via the Supporter’s Subscription form
  • Help run the library and volunteer!  Volunteer application form pdf (or Volunteer application form doc if you wish to fill it in using Office)

It is by volunteer effort and fund raising that we keep this community hub going. We welcome your support via small subscriptions and encourage you to join in the fundraising events. Please note that as Colehill Community Library is a registered charity we can claim Gift Aid, so it will be appreciated if you can complete the declaration where appropriate. The regular Newsletter will be sent to you by email or will be available in the library for you to collect. Also it can be downloaded from the News page.

Volunteering

We are run entirely by a substantial and committed team of volunteers who support the Library in a variety of ways. Approximately 40 volunteers man the library during opening hours over the course of a fortnight. Others are involved with general maintenance and cleaning of the building, gardening and ground maintenance, fund raising, running monthly activities and managing the Jigsaw Library.

Reg. Charity No. 1151552.  Registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee 08124849.
