SCOUT GROUP CELEBRATES
1st Colehill Scout Group are celebrating the opening of a second Beaver Scout Colony to join their thriving Scout Group which also runs two Cub Packs and two Scout Troops. A friendly Rounders Match with teams made up of Beavers from both Colonies and a splattering of Cubs and Scouts was followed by a mass investiture ceremony involving an impressive display of Group Colours and patriotic Flags. Helen Lynch, who got the new colony up and running, said ‘It’s brilliant that so many young people want to be part of Scouting’. Helen will be running programmes full of fun, adventure and challenge for both Colonies and will welcome enquiries for new members and adults wishing to join the fun in any section.
